Dyslexia is a learning disability that can be treated with the right intervention programs such as an individualized educational program created by expert teachers and assessors to address the many symptoms of the learning disability. Such program may apply a multi-sensory approach that aims to target vocabulary, fluency, comprehension, reading and writing, synthetic and analytical phonics, and phonemic awareness.

However, parents should know that seeking professional dyslexia help is just as crucial as providing the child with a structured environment at home where he or she can be motivated to work on his or her reading and writing skills.

Effectively accomplishing these needs of a child with dyslexia will likely allow him or her to overcome those difficulties and succeed later on in life.
